TROMPE L'OEIL‎ Is a French term meaning "Trick the Eye". It simply is a painted illusion making the onlooker believe that the flat surface shows apparently objects and space in a 3-D way, accepting realism in the context. Perspective is fundamental for any realistic painting, a Trompe l'Oeil requires artistic skills and technical knowledge in the use of the rules of perspective specifically applied to design a mural to be a convincing illusion.
